Getting Started

Who can join the challenge?

The Challenge is purpose built for Recruits and young people living with disabilities who are the heroes of this Challenge. The Challenge is also open to all First Responders, Schools, Sporting Clubs, Corporate Teams, and solo Challengers. However, if you are a solo Challenger you must nominate one of the particpating organisations for your calories and fundraising to be coutned to boost their totals.

Do I need fundraising experience?

Not at all. We can help guide and support you every step of the way, when needed.

Can I join after the challenge has started?

Yes — registration is open up until the last day of the Challenge on 03 December 2025 — the International Day of People wih Disabilities.

How long does the challenge run?

Typically 4–6 weeks. The last day of the Challenge is 03 December 2025 — the International Day of People wih Disabilities. Check your dashboard or campaign page for exact dates. 

Is there a leaderboard?

Yes — rankings are updated in real time across categories and overall.

The Cause

What cause are we supporting?

The Challenge supports young people with physical, cognitive, and sensory disorders to feel safe, accepted, and get fit.  By particpating in the Challenge you help connect families living with disabilities, First Responders, schools and sporting clubs through inclusive fitness which changes lives.

Can I choose a specific cause to support?

The nominated charity who created this Challenge is Fight4Balance (F4B) — a boots on the ground, grass-roots charity who works tirelessly for the community of families living with disabilities. See: www.fight4balance.org.au for more information. 

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes — all donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia.

How is the impact measured?

We provide updates, stories, and reports showing how funds are used and who they help.

Can I share the cause with others?

Definitely — we encourage storytelling to inspire new challengers and donors, and to build momentum.

How do I register?

Can I register as a team or organisation?

Definitely — First Responders, schools, sporting clubs, and workplaces are welcome to sign-up as teams.

Can I register solo?

Absolutely. Solo fundraisers are welcome and celebrated.

Is there an age limit?

No. However, Challengers and participants under 18yo should have parental or school consent. See our 'Challenge Terms & Conditions' linked at the footer of this website for more information.

Fundraising

How do I start fundraising?

Once registered, you’ll receive a personal or team fundraising link to share with supporters online and offline

Can I host events to raise funds?

Absolutely! Trivia nights, bake sales, auctions, and fun runs are great ways to boost donations.

Are there fundraising resources available?

Unfortunately not in 2025. However as the Challenge grows in 2026 and 2027 — we hope to provide toolkits, templates, and promotional materials to help you succeed.

Is there a minimum amount I need to raise?

No minimum — every dollar counts. Set a goal that motivates you and your team.

Where does the money go?

Up to 30% of all funds raised will be invested in expanding access to adaptive fitness programs to young people with disabilities. 70% will be invested in developing a Disability Fitness Coaching App as a resource tool Australia-wide for young people living with disability and their families, Personal Trainers, Allied Health Clinicians, Schools, Sporting Clubs and First Responder Agencies. This App will improve adaptive fitness standards and health outcomes for young people with disabilities, particulalry those living in rural and remote Australia. Full transparency and impact reporting will be provided.

Can I train on any brand of assault bike?
Yes. Of course. You can train on any brand of assault bike at any location convenient for you.

Can I complete the live challenge on any brand of assault bike?
No. All participants must complete their challenge attempts on Rogue Echo bike. If you don't have access to one at your local gym, crossfit centre or workplace - don't worry - we will be publishing a list of locations in Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin where you can complete your challenge attempt(s) on a Rogue Echo Bike.

Why do I need to complete my challenge attempts on a Rogue Echo Bike?
Not all assault bikes brands are calibrated the same. Rogue Echo Bikes are the largest crossfit competition brand in the world, which means their Echo Bikes are calibrated to a competition standard to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety.  Our mission is to ensure there is an equal playing field for all challengers to compete against one another.
